Denise received her M.S. in Computer Science from Joseph Fourier University in Grenoble France. She did her PhD in Computational Biology at University of California Riverside. The topic of her thesis was combinatorial approaches for de novo assembly of very large and repetitive genomes. She is currently a postdoc in the lab of Dr. Liu and working on applying optimization techniques to solve challenging problems in genetics.
